Originally purchased by the Town of Westerly, Rhode Island, Ladder 1 was purchased by the City of Warwick when their American LaFrance Ladder 1 was experiencing severe mechanical problems. Initially, this Ladder had a rough start with its own series of mechanical problems, but the skilled staff at the shop helped put the Ladder back on its feet and move the engine from the previous Ladder 1 into the former Westerly rig.
